Reading Toward The Stars ~ Demanding Dudley {The Wiblets}

Reading Toward the Stars

This week, I am reviewing a book that was perfect for my three year old little girl.  She may look sweet and innocent, but this is what I see a LOT, especially when she wants something.

Demanding Dudley

I was contacted at the perfect time to review Deneen Renae’s newest Wiblets book: Demanding Dudley: The Power of Using Your Magic Words

Right away, I knew it was perfect to read to Ginny Beth!

The Wiblets were created by Deneen Renae to help her son become polite and respectful.  These loving monsters help children work with their emotions.

Demanding Dudley by Deneen RenaeDudley is a monster who loves his apple juice and wants more of it.  Instead of asking politely, he demands more.  His mother explains why he should use “magic words”.  When he does, things are so much better for both Dudley and his mom.

As a mom, I struggle with this with my own child.  Dudley was a perfect book to read with her.  He sounded just like her when she demands something from us.  After reading this book a few times, she began using kind words to get what she wanted.  Now I hear more “Please” than “I want!”  So nice!

While writing this post, I found her “reading” the book to herself.  She remembered what it said and was “reading” it to herself.

How sweet!

Demanding DudleyThis book is a must-have for parents of toddlers and preschoolers!

Deneen Renae also has another project that might interest you.  It is the Chalk Project.

WHAT IS CHALK PROJECT?

What started out as playing with chalk as a fun after school project with my son over 2 years ago, has evolved itself into something so much more. Chalk Project is about spreading messages of kindness & inspiration.

Our Mission is to create uplifting original messages with chalk on neighborhood sidewalks, with hopes that these anonymous messages will collide with the person that needs it most.

Our Dream is to have people from all over the world chalking these messages in their local neighborhoods.

Whether be on a city sidewalk or at the end of a driveway, the more messages we can collectively put out into the world, the more we can change it!

**This is my honest review of this product.  I have received a copy of this book for review purposes.  I have received no other compensation for this review.**
